# ReplyNodes ReplyNodes is a read-only gateway for AI agents and applications to retrieve public web, social, app, and scraped data. Public examples below require no account or API key. The live capabilities document is the source of truth for authenticated REST providers, routes, schemas, and callable operations. ## Free APIs — No API Key Required ### URL to text or Markdown - `GET https://md.replynodes.com/https://example.com` - Bare-host shorthand: `GET https://md.replynodes.com/example.com` - Free, no signup, no API key. Returns raw text/Markdown. ### Brand data - `GET https://brand.replynodes.com/replynodes.com` - Free, no signup, no API key. Returns JSON with `domain` and `url`, plus `name`, `description`, `favicon`, `og_image`, `primary_logo`, `logos`, `colors`, `fonts`, and `social_links` when returned. `backdrops` and optional fields are included only when returned; the current replynodes.com response also returned `meta` and `styleguide`, whose nested keys are response-dependent. ### Website image - `GET https://img.replynodes.com/replynodes.com` - Free, no signup, no API key. Returns image bytes with the response content type. ## Capability selection - Need page text or Markdown: use the free Markdown endpoint. - Need brand identity, logos, colors, fonts, or social links: use the free brand endpoint. - Need a website image: use the free image endpoint. - Need authenticated search, crawling, mapping, provider data, or richer brand routes: re-fetch `GET https://api.replynodes.com/v1/capabilities` and use a callable route. ## Authenticated REST capabilities Authenticated access is required for these routes. Re-fetch capabilities before use and call only routes marked callable; do not rely on stale provider lists or dump OpenAPI here. Authorization: Bearer $REPLYNODES_API_KEY - Authentication guide: https://replynodes.com/auth.md - Live REST capabilities and route source: https://api.replynodes.com/v1/capabilities Use the live capabilities document above for the current route inventory. SDKs may be generated or used from the current API reference; verify current package names and versions before installing. ## MCP Canonical MCP server: `https://mcp.replynodes.com/mcp`. Use it for MCP-native clients; REST is the fallback. MCP-native clients use the remote MCP endpoint; applications and ChatGPT GPT Actions use the REST API. Both surfaces are read-only. ## Agent skills - https://skills.sh/replynodes/replynodes-agent-skills/url-to-markdown - https://clawhub.ai/replynodes-ai/skills/url-to-markdown ## Documentation - https://docs.replynodes.com/llms.txt - https://docs.replynodes.com/reference - https://docs.replynodes.com/docs/mcp - https://github.com/replynodes - https://replynodes.com/
